Description
I find so often that when people render in art the sins, which is a popular theme/subject, all too often people focus on the trapings of the sin- especially for Greed, where there are tons of gold and lots of jewels. For wrath there are whips and blood, for gluttony so much food, ect.
But people so often forget that the deadly sins are more than the actual acts themselves- they are often a subtle influence, slowly destructive and consuming. I focused here on the more internal devouring of the soul by greed, that vacant nothingness that is left when all you have is your obsession. It is sometimes the tiny amounts of gold and wealth that drive people to madness- one could kill for a single necklace if that was all one believed they desired.

On a personal note...I think this might be the best thing I've ever done.

Wow! I really like your take on this. When I read in your description about how many people get caught up in the trappings rather than the impact or effects of the sins, I agreed all the way. You managed to capture the effect very nicely - the look in her eyes, gazing at the little golden chains. The way the gold is the highlight really brings out the focus, like it's all she cares about right now, and it's taking over her life. To me, that's how greed works on people, and all it takes is that tiny bit of possession. I like how you captured that in this, very well done.
