Anyways, this is my personal little tribute to the orginal Disney version of 'Sleeping Beauty' with princess Arora and the classic love song "Once Upon A Dream". That is and always will be my absolutly favorate telling of the sleeping beauty tale (even though most of the action was actually centered around the three fairy godmothers...oddly enough, and my fave part was always with the dragon, who sadly dies, but still..BEST disney villian, EVER!!!) Well, this is the 'dream' they met in for the first time... I know you, i walked with you once upon a dream.... That's why everyhting is all pretty and perfict. :aww:
The castle in the backround is a very famous one from Spain, and her prince is there on the bridge. (though i refrained from the knight in shining armor, b/c lets face it, i personally want a blue-eyed, curly-haired rouge in black leather, but uh-hum, i digress...:XD: )

oil on illistrasion board using the incomprable [link] as the stock referance. I really, really am begining to love them :aww:

The paint strokes on this are very smooth and blend well. I like her wistful expression and the prince's small figure behind her. The castle also came out very well. The only nitpick I have (and it's very minor) is that there's a lot of blue in it between her dress, the water, and the castle rooftops; maybe another color to break that up would have been better.

But that being said I really like the details in the flower she's holding and of course, the folds. This is something you should be proud of. :aww:

i need to get some better software for the images...the darn dress is much more of a blue-green aqua color and flows much better- bugger. this is really starting to affect things and its anoying th crap out of me.....

You could always make a journal and see if anyone has other suggestions, or knows where you can get either of those things for less cost.

Oh this is fantastic my dear!! Love all the attention to detail here.. the stones especially are fabulous. REally the whole scene just works in my opinion!
