Critiques
Overall, the composition is well done, but the majority of colors are resonating at the same intensity. Perhaps trying a glaze of the same yellow in the orbs across the background would help to pop out the main figure more? Also, her pants and shoes seem to be flattening out next to the highly textured scaled shirt and accessories. Perhaps you can make them leather and add some strong sheen highlights to them? A leather look might jive with the scaled look even more as well
Also, the only other knitpick I have is the placement of her lips. Though her expression is meant to be tight, it seems as if her lips are just a little too low on the jaw. This may not be fixable now, but it is something to keep in mind for the next image. I know from experience that sometimes anatomy can lose something in translation when you're using a photographic reference and my suggestion would be to get the basic shape of your figure down first, leaving the details of the features to your imagination after you've put the photo away.
This way you can rely on your own anatomy skills and a sense of what 'looks right' rather than using the photographic reference as a crutch to ensure accuracy.
This is just one working method, however. I'm sure there are different ones that work for different people!
